Prophet of Allah
Ayyub (AS)
أيوب
Known in other traditions as: Job
Sent to: His people
The patient prophet — tested with loss of wealth, family, and health, yet did not complain. His patience became the standard.
Story
A wealthy and righteous prophet who was tested by Allah with the loss of his wealth, the loss of his children, and a long, severe illness. For years, he bore it without complaint. Only at the end did he turn to Allah saying 'Indeed harm has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful.' Allah restored his health, his family, and doubled his wealth.
Key Lessons
- Patience is a gift greater than relief.
- Even prophets call to Allah — and so should we.
- What is taken is restored; what is borne in patience is rewarded forever.
